Joining unique health and fitness back in October 2017 was one of the best decisions I ever made. Before joining I rarely did any form of exercise and more or less ate what I wanted, looking back now to my initial assessment I can’t believe that I weighed nearly 14 stone and never really knew how unfit and unhealthy my lifestyle was. Following the Phase Up system kept me focused and on track as I gradually got into a routine of going to the gym 3/4 times a week. Going from a person who never thought she would enjoy the gym to now loving working my way through the 10 phases and constantly challenging myself with every phase. Another major factor of my weight loss journey has been the food that I eat, I began following Darin’s food plan back in December and that was when I saw my weight really changing. I began to grow an understanding of the food that I should be eating and how to balance my lifestyle that allows me to have that “bar of chocolate” if I want it instead of completely restricting myself which would not benefit my long term progress. Now nearly 7 months later and 3 stone lighter I could never imagine myself going back to the person I was before. I now look forward to working out 4 times a week and cooking balanced meals that cater for all nutritional needs and occasional cravings. These last few months are just a stepping stone in the right direction for my complete lifestyle change. I may have to go out and buy and whole new wardrobe because none of my old clothes may fit me but I think that’s a small price to pay for all the hard work and determination invested into these last few months.
